With all due respect to the trending R2 interview topic, need inputs on R1 WL. Given the enrolment fee deadline for R1 was 2-11, did any of you on R1 WL receive any calls/updates? Thanks

I think it’s a day or two too early. I would expect deposit deadline have an impact but not exclusively on WL folks since there are still applicants in round two as well as waitlist folks from round one. The R2 deposit tends to be more impactful on WL

Based on previous trends, Columbia does tend to add interview slots periodically, but the availability also depends on the interviewers' schedules. If your current options are limited, you can try checking for the slots frequently, historically applicants have reported seeing new slots open up. However, there’s no guarantee, and waiting too long could be risky. If you don’t see new slots within a few days, it’s best to book an available one rather than waiting for long. Good luck!

In the past, some waitlisted candidates received updates/ interview invites shortly after this deadline, while others may also need to wait until R2 decisions are finalized. The movement usually happens in small waves, also depending on how many admitted students have decline their offers.

I have just received the interview invitation. There are only several slots till 18-Feb. So I guess there will be more and more invitation to be released.

Does Interview invitation rolling based out?

Yes. Through Feb 20th at Columbia so we have about a week left.

Any applicants from India who got an invite in yesterday's batch of invites?

Very interesting my client got one Wednesday and slots were open for Feb 20, Thursday. PS - You get the interviewer name 48h in advance and then set up a time so your actual interview date is likely to be later.
