Hi there,
Thanks for sharing your journey—you're already taking the right steps by planning early and reflecting honestly on your past prep. Let me try to answer your questions clearly:
(1) About Internship Experience: Most top MBA programs prefer
full-time work experience, but internship experience (especially if it's substantial and relevant) can still add value—especially if you're applying to programs that accept early-career applicants or deferred MBA programs. For regular full-time MBA programs, however,
internships alone may not be enough, so you might want to consider gaining at least 1–2 years of
full-time job experience to strengthen your profile.
(2) About GMAT Prep in 6 Months: Yes,
6 months is generally enough time to prepare well for the GMAT, especially if you're focused and have already covered the basics through CAT prep. Since your main challenge is LRDI (which translates more to GMAT’s Critical Reasoning and Data Sufficiency), I’d recommend using a structured course like
Target Test Prep or
GMAT Official Guide, and spending more time mastering logical reasoning and time management.
You're clearly motivated, which is a huge plus. If you're worried about losing momentum later, it's okay to aim for an MBA soon—but try to
balance it with real work experience to maximize your admission chances and post-MBA outcomes.

Hi ,
I am 23 (Male) planning to give "GMAT" in Jan 2026 and Sept 2026 intake if Jan won't go great. I wanted to ask that Having Internship work experience of 1 year and another internship certificate of 2 month is enough or eligible for "MBA" collages? And for preparation 6 month is enough if my only LRDI section is weak. I
appeared for "CAT" 2024 and scored (30 percentile) only, that was my first attempt under 6 month of preparation completing all basics to advance, because my basics was very bad. Can anyone help me with that. Because my family is continuously telling me to do my MBA, and if I worked for 3 year or 2 year to gain work experience then. I am sure about myself I won't be studying anymore as I am in continuous studying mode it's better to do within next year.
(1) Anyone can please Just tell me about is Internship certificate is good enough? (2) Is 6 month is enough for GMAT if I focus only on my exam.
