Total score = 74*3 = 222

Statement 1: highest = 82, low + mid = 222-82=140
There can be many pairs to fit in -> insufficient.

Statement 2: lowest = 222-162 = 60 -> sufficient.

Option B is correct.

average of 3 is 74

Total is 222

Option 1:
Highest is 82 , sum of the marks of other two test will be 222-82=140
it can not tell me conclusively the lowest marks, hence not sufficient from here to find out.

Option 2:
Sum of the two highest score is 162, Then the other score is 222-162=60
Lowest score is 60 then. Sufficient. Hence it should be option B

If Dave’s average (arithmetic mean) score on three tests was 74, what was his lowest score?

(1) Dave’s highest score was 82.
(2) The sum of Dave’s two highest scores was 162.
