Congratulations!! Your invites keep my hopes alive. Booth is a place that feel so strongly about. It will be tough to digest if it doesn't call me for an interview.

On a positive note, I do have an invite from LBS!!

Does anybody know historically if Admissions will ding people off the waitlist on decision day of R2, or do they wait until the summer to start dinging off the waitlist? Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm an R1 admit but this thread is strangely addictive - it's like a soap opera seeing who gets in! Rooting for all you guys and feel free to PM if you have questions about interview prep. I interviewed in London, as it sounds like some of you will.

By the way, 40-50% of applicants invited to interview this round (source: Rose M blog) and annual acceptance rate is around 20% (maybe less for R2) so for those of you with invites, your odds aren't much less than a coin flip.

And to preserve the sanity of the remaining applicants I would like to state that I do not believe for one second that applicants from any particular city are "grouped". You get invited to interview before you choose an interview location, for a start. And I am confident that invites will flow right to the wire, as they did in R1, and that timing has nothing at all to do with candidacy strength.

Good luck peeps!

I fully second Britguy. I am also a R1 admit, already enrolled to Booth and international. If you want some help/advice/tips on the interview (I did my interview off campus with an alum) just PM me, I'll be glad to help future classmates and friends.

Thirded. I interviewed in Sydney, Australia.

all right boyz and girls, got an interview invite this morning 8-)
they surely kept it down to the wire given that only a few days are left

now the big question is - interview on or off campus? I'm in Toronto so its a short flight (and I want to visit the campus) but i'm wondering whether there are any other advantages to interviewing on campus

Congrats Comrade.
I interviewed on campus a few days back. I loved it because Booth arranged for a few first year students to informally chat with you while you are waiting. It helps sooth your nerves. Also, on-campus you will most likely be interviewed by a 2nd year student (although adcom does do some interviews) which I prefer more than getting interviewed off-campus by a 60 year old alumni who is running his own hedge fund. But again you may prefer otherwise.
Now I have nothing better to do till March 24th, but keep stalking these forums.

I did not know that about on-campus interviews (could be interviewed by 2nd year or AdCom). In either case, are the interviews blind? If it is not blind, how should one adjust the interview strategy?

Yes, interviews are blind. You give a copy of your resume to the office when you arrive, and your interviewer may decide to briefly browse through it before he/she interviews you (at least I got the impression that my interviewer had seen my resume).
