Since they posted the decisions online all people were either Dinged or Waitlisted!! didn't anyone get accepted it's honestly kinda wierd!

Can i ask people who got accepted by phone to check their online status?

Why exactly? This is pretty standard procedure. If you don't get a call in advance, you're most likely dinged or waitlisted when decisions are released...

I believe this is normal. I did check as soon as the results were out, for the admits, there was a letter and then told you to log into the portal. I just didn't post it earlier since I had already announced I was admitted.

congrats to everyone admitted! and keep up your hopes for the WLs. never know what'll happen with yield.

couple of my thoughts about GBR and housing and fin aid/scholarships.

if you're convinced that you're coming to Ross, have a great feel of the campus and student body, and what it'll be like to live here, there's not really a need to come to GBR. but, if you're on the fence, if you haven't had a chance to talk to current students, if you want to learn more about anything - life in AA, life at Ross, who your future classmates are, then you definitely should come to GBR because you're going to be here for the next 2 years (nevermind the financial investment) and you want to make sure this is the right place for you.

if you're sure you're going to be here, the visit out is still worthwhile but you are not missing out on finding housing, building relationships, etc. yes, GBR is an opportunity to meet potential roommates and does make it easier to secure housing while in AA versus making another trip back or doing it remotely. but i would not say that all the good housing will run out by GBR or during GBR. good housing can be a matter of luck and it helps to know second years who have great housing and are graduating. GBR's also pretty busy so you won't have tons of time to spend looking for housing, but you can build it in your schedule. i scheduled some appts via craigslist. my goal was to find a house and avoid an apartment complex, and i got lucky and did sign a lease on a house. and my roommates came from emailing the google group set up by Ross post GBR. but most people do not secure housing or even look for housing during GBR. there's a lot of emailing on the google groups about finding housing post GBR.

you will get to learn about housing options though at GBR and can start searching and getting a feel of neighborhoods. one thing that the GBR planning committee is hoping to do this year (no promises on final plans though) is have current students who live in houses have open houses so you can see different housing options in addition to the apartment complexes like Woodbury, Forest Plaza, etc.

fin aid - you should fill out FAFSA if you haven't yet. i don't remember timing of when you find out about the aid, but it'll come from the finanacial aid department and it gets disbursed directly to your account, after you sign paperwork and such. there will be plenty of oppty to learn about this at GBR.

scholarships - you should have found out during your admit call if you received a scholarship.

i'll be around during GBR. i've got a domestic MAP with limited travel. if you have any questions - including Erb or the Social Venture Fund - hit me up.

Updated this roll call. Very impressive how many people from GC applied. We probably have 10% of all the acceptances.

Also I think Ross' popularity is going up, definitely larger than last year and the year before.

I think due to the surge in applications last year, their class size went upto 500.It was not intentional though.Their yield went from 70% to 79%.They din't expect so many admitted students to finally matriculate. This year, they might have admitted fewer students than last year to bring the class size back to 450.
