Hi Everyone, just got the invite. I have heard that 40% of ppl invited gets the job. But don't quote me. We should all just do our best. I also just came back from a McCombs interview at noon. Took a nap, and saw this invitation, it is a good day certainly. :D

Dinged per interview invite. Wasn't really invested in Duke anyways nor was I expecting much from them. Only applied cuz I attended their info session and they reduced app fee to $50. I was like, why not? So no hurt feelings...

So do I go under the "invited" or "not invited" for the roll call page billyjeans? Did my interview back in November and ultimately mine just says submitted without any interview indication one way or the other...for some reason it makes me uneasy.

Just puts a whole extra amount of pressure on the rest of my apps. Oh and I also can resume hating Duke (although I would never stop hating their basketball team, even if I got an admit).

ACNGuy, I'm in your same boat. I did the open interview back in November and submitted Round 2. My application status has not changed. I don't think we'll get any clues until March 8 when we get the most obvious clue of all.

I was traveling today, on a 4:45 flight to Detroit, and the two hours without any Fuqua news, knowing they had probably sent out information was excruciating. But got the invite! Very sorry to see all the non-invites, especially LetsGoMets. We have a pretty similar profile and I'm shocked they didn't want to at least hear what you had to say in person. Best of luck with your other apps and best of luck to all the other invitees.

Now who else is coming to Durham?

im trying to decide between going to durham or doing an interview at a satellite location. I'd much rather check out blue devil weekend if i have to head out to durham. would love to hear thoughts from current students/open interviewees.

Invited to interview. Congrats to y'all, too!

Question: I visited Duke in early November (all day visit) but turned in the application for Round 2. I'm almost positive that I put down that I would be willing to travel to Durham for the interview. However, I turned in the app before the Ross decisions came out-at that point I had only been accepted at CMU with a waitlist at Booth.

Is it going to look really bad if I stick to an alumni interview for Duke after declaring that I was willing to do an on-campus interview?

I know that makes me sound like a jerk but basically I've a) given my notice at work b) am hoarding leave for an eye operation + GBR c) am jealously hoarding the last of my income/paychecks for school d) I sent in Ross's deposit because I don't want to sit around waiting for Booth to accept/decline without securing the good offer that I had (my parents just pointed this out to me 5 times when I called them about Fuqua) e) I had 5 interviews during R1 and I spent 99% of my vacation this year flying around for b-school interviews and I feel just about done using hardearned (we build-as-we-go) vacation days for b-school interviews.

Duke must be a dream schoold for me with GMAT of 610, GPA of 3.1 and WE of 6 years in finance. Well, it can tell everything that my TOEFL schore falls short of the minimum requirement.
