Glad to see all of you here. I'm actually from Argentina, South America, but all my work experience after college has been in Central Asia, specifically Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan (where I currently live). I've also traveled through Ukraine and Russia.
I really like the ex soviet union countries! My wife is from Kazakhstan (was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan), so even though I never studied Russian, I've been picking up words and lately I can communicate much more. I read all your posts and could understand most of it!
I still don't know what school to apply. I guess I'll research a little more, and after taking TOEFL and GMAT will see where I stand and what I can target. But most likely will be a bschool from the us, not the elite, since I'll be enrolling at the age of 31, and my work experience in in non profit. As I could see, it's not a HBS typical profile.
Anyways, glad to see all of you here. Anyone from Bishkek? Could meet up sometimes.
