I just talked to a friend from brazil that is at berkeley for days@haas.

He is with 2 more brazilian guys that applied for Ross in R2. He said they told him they received a call from Michigan last friday, telling they are in.

It's so weird.

In one hand, I totally trust my friend and the other guys have no reason at all to lie about it. In the other hand, however, it doesn't make any sense.

I'm so shocked with that info. do you think it is possible?

Aaah!!! I too dont remember .. Yesterday, I was too engrossed in the posts in this forum - the battle between the "have's " and the "have-not's" (the link) ... :-D

My View Credentials link is missing now too, but I clicked on it yesterday and it listed your GMAT test dates and Transcripts. It's odd some people's links are now gone and others are still there, seems like the glitch is still in effect, unless this has some supposed meaning as well. Haha I'm trying to laugh off all this frenzy as a way to stay sane over the next few days

My View Credentials link is missign now too and I saw it yesterday.

Don't worry about it! Some of us even had 3 links and dropped to 2 and then 1 this morning... so you're not alone! Let's cross our fingers! I wonder whether adcome will start making the calls tomorrow given the system glitch we experienced for the past 2 days....

this whole thing is preposterous....why send login details which have no meaning....Ross could most certainly manage this process better. after being a business school for more than 50 years....its surprising they cant handle the decision making process in a more efficient matter.FYI I called them and I got a very non committal/ terse response saying that the decision should be released on or about the 8th....

EDIT: nothing personal against them at all.

Why on earth did they send this email giving access to this site a week before the deadline ?

What happens if it is really a mistake and people who received the admission actually should not have received it ?

I wonder whether this is a new process, something that didn't happen in R1....

It would be really sad if the admission letter (or system glitch) was actually sent to wrong people. I actually told my family and friends already and we were supposed to celebrate on this weekend

Don't worry. That is not going to happen. At this moment adcom cant say that the mistake revealed the real decisions because in that case they may be asked to release the decision earlier. So, probably they are using 'preliminary' concept to simply hold us fromm celebrating officially for few more days..

Most of you probably weren't hanging around GMAT Club last time it happened, but this tragedy you speak of has actually happened before. Two years ago, Kellogg accidentally sent admit emails to 50 applicants that had actually been denied. They made an effort to call each of the affected applicants and gave them a refund for their app fee, but I'm sure you can imagine how disappointed these people were.

Schools certainly recognize how stressful the application process can be, but disasters happen even with the best of intentions. I hope the madness ends for everyone soon.

I am actually quite optimistic that people who have seen their admit decisions are actually admitted. The email sent to these people from the school says "a system error allowed you to view preliminary admissions decisions". So these were actually decisions not an error. And why would decisions change in a few days?

If the email said something to the effect - please, disregard what you may have seen under View Decision link - it was a system error, I would be less optimistic. But they pretty much acknowledged that we have seen admissions decisions.

Agreed.

Does anyone have any idea how long it was before the glitch was corrected? For those who saw the phantom acceptance, how long was it available for before being removed? I checked my account immediately and there was no acceptance, nor denial, nor any indication I am waitlisted.
