Anyone apply to the Women Connect @ Columbia event? And got in?
i did. do you think they'll wait until after this event to make a decision on our application?
How did you ladies hear about this event? If I had known, I would have applied...Oh wells!

I got an email from Columbia about it. Waited to apply until after submitting my application (12/31), and now I'm waitlisted for the event. I hope it's not a reflection on their view of my resume, and maybe related to when I applied, or that I'm local.
Yes! I'll be attending too, just found out today. I applied the day after getting that email, I really think it was more like a first come first served process as long as your resume looked okay.
It would be nice to meet up if you all are interested. I'll be wearing a rose on my lapel. haha jk
I applied and got in too, just more for an information purpose for me. I haven't applied to Columbia, plan to for first round though. Any thoughts on how competitive or helpful this session will be? I'm traveling all the way from Ca.
oh my god....I just called CBS to ask them a question and they transferred me to an admissions officer and... I'm IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a deferred candidate from the early decision round

Wow, congrats. This might be the first time I have ever heard of an applicant calling admissions randomly and being told they are in. Awesome.

It feels amazing, I am in disbelief and still don't believe it! Waiting for the email to make it official =) Thanks everyone for the kudos.

congrats! what was the magic question you were going to ask?
Interestingly enough. I asked them that if I retook the GMAT when do I need to submit a new score for it to be properly considered. She took my name, put me on hold, then said - let me transfer your to an officer. and bam! I asked her 4 times if she was absolutely sure. haha
