Just a dumb question- Does CBS interview ALL their admits, or are there some they admit without interview?

I am also waiting-

I guess based on this forum, there are some people who went under review around 1/20 that are getting interview requests...

i'm with you...i'm interview complete as of 1/18 and still nothing. how should i celebrate the 1 month anniversary of waiting today? open to any suggestions.

CBS interviews roughly 25-30% of its applicants I think, so no, not everyone. Good luck!

Hmm. Based on these numbers, it looks like about 56% of those they interview get accepted. Does that sound right? That's low compared to other schools. I was at an admissions event at Stern yesterday and they said close to 70% of those that get interviewed get accepted. I like those odds a lot better.

Wow! Congrats, you must be so excited. 11/5! That's an incredibly long time to wait (although less than three weeks after the interview), but I guess it paid off. Good to know that a long wait doesn't necessarily mean bad news. Some hope for all of us. It's too bad there's not a uniform time period after the interview.

That news should make for a good weekend! Congrats again.

Nah, I think its about right. Different schools place different weight on the apps vs. the interview. HBS for example is notorious for placing a huge importance on the application itself, thats why most people are dinged without even an interview, but about 80-90% of people who are interviewed are admitted. Columbia on the other hand tends to interview more people, but take a more holistic approach, and probably give more weight to the interview than Harvard does.
