My understanding is that they will not ask both questions from the same category. That was my interview experience, too. I think you are safe if you have one story that fits both questions in a category.

If you have a generous interviewer, you might even be able to choose which question to answer in each category, but I've never heard of anyone being asked to answer both questions.

Don't want to throw a wrench in this, but I actually heard of someone being asked all six questions by an alumni interviewer...have also heard of alumni interviewer not asking any of the questions...wouldn't happen with an adcom though

i know a lot of this is common sense and has already been discussed, but remember to think for a second about your answer before you go into your story, i did the behavioral interview at mit and i was a little too quick answering the questions , have a plan / framework but still let it flow naturally based on the situation / dynamic with the interviewer so it doesn't look overly rehearsed

another key for military / non-traditional is to avoid jargon or things that may be confusing to people outside our field, but it into context and use simple language

i know people know these things, but it is important to focus because it is usually easier said than done

For those invited for interview, do we have to send in the official transcripts now? If so, where do we send it to?

Not a problem you need to worry about until you get good news at the end of March

For those who received interviews- were there only 6 behavioral questions? Or others including your long-term career goals, why mba, why now etc?

Just had my interview and yes, the questions are the same as they were in the first round. However, just in case, make sure you can also answer the standard questions (why MBA, why Wharton).

Cheers!

All six questoins are divided into three categories. Do you guys prepare different episodes for all six questions or just one episode for each category so that you can twist little?

I'd like to know this as well. Some seem so similar!!

I'm curious too - I'm simply working on three examples, although depending on the question I'll frame it differently (e.i. concentrate on the part of the example that addresses the question). Anyone who already had (a successful) interview with an opinion?

I interviewed on campus last week.
There was a small introduction at the beginning, she described herself, where she went to school, her pre and post mba work industry etc. Then she asked 3 of the 6 behavioral questions. You will about 5 mins per question. After that I asker her 3-4 questions and that was it.

so now why wharton, why MBA, why now etc. type of questions. Too bad I had worked hard on the why wharton question.

For people who did alum interview outside of Philly timezone: do you have to confirm the local time of your timezone online or Philly time?
Looks like online system does not show the timezone in confirmation time of interview

I am interviewing someone later this afternoon for an open position in our company. I may drop a question or two from the Wharton list to see what happens!

Hi all! Does anyone know how linked the Wharton and Lauder admissions processes are? If Lauder decides not to accept a candidate, how hard is it to still get accepted into Wharton?

I don't know - but it would be interesting to know the number of people who aren't accepted to Lauder but are accepted to the general MBA program. Maybe a current student would know?

Hello -

I was invited for a Round 2 interview and saw that all the slots up until March 4th are taken. I saw today that some slots for March 7-9 opened up and were posted online. Does anyone know what these are? Any chance the interview date range has been extended?

Thank you.

Can anyone explain to me what is the real difference between the following two questions

"Describe a time when you have had to persuade others to your way of thinking, when at first they did not buy into your idea."

AND

"Describe a time when your ideas have been challenged by others, requiring you to defend your opinions."

Don't both questions require you to "defend and then convince the other party". I guess if someone can help clarify ...that would be great. Appreciate the help!
