Don't do it! Don't fall into that trap! It was just an Admissions Newsletter, which seem to come fairly randomly. I've gotten some in the past and not others. The chances that the mailing list for newsletters is tied to the application system, or that Admissions updates the mailing lists before telling us the decisions are... well, pretty much none. The wait is stressful enough as it is, guys. Take it easy on yourselves.

I'm in the same boat as you (as I'm sure are many others). If it makes you feel any better: a friend of mine received an interview invite for SOM on deadline day for R2 two years ago.
