@goldfinger, thanks. I work in IT sector (indian company, here on secondment for last one year), 5 yrs exp, 660 GMAT.
Not sure if Banks in Sydney will finance ur MBA until u a citizen or PR.

G'day folks,

I have applied for R1 as well..
Indian/Mechanical Engineer/NIT Nagpur (yeah yeah... one of many!!)
GMAT 700(82% quant/80% verbal)..
6 years workex by Sep 2011..
Working in the logistics and supply chain industry for 5 years..
Long term goal is entrepreneurship in India/Afr/SE Asia.

I just received an email that I was pre-selected for an interview. I'm guessing the "pre" part means that they haven't made all the decisions yet. No date yet, they have to select which local alumni will be interviewing me first.

I'm planning to go to the open house on the October 29th. Is anyone else from this forum going?

I went through last year's thread on BW and found the interview emails started to flow in on Oct 23, 2009. So I guess we are now getting pretty close to hear some more news.

Turned in application for R1, got confirmation of application within 24 hours (although submitted on the last day - 29th Sept), now waiting to hear about an interview
