Trying to figure out the trend for invites :) same coordinator? Same region? date of submission? or date of confirmation? anyone knows the answer????

Roll call updated. Interview invites are reflected in the roll call.

Can someone explain the "pre-selection?" Do they call the interview invites "pre-selection," or do they do a period of pre-selection and a period of selection?

Hi, mab4me2010. I am an admit to the Dec 11 class and I saw your message and wanted to respond to it. Being "pre-selected" for interview simply means you are invited to interview. There is really nothing fancy or special about it. Anyone invited for interview will see "pre-selected" in their interview invite e-mail. It means that you've made the first cut.

The wait is awful so hang in there. :0)

I believe they send out invites by region (coordinator) and you should not be disappointed if you have not heard yet since the order of notification does not seem to relate to your quality of application within the pool of interviewees.

Bac, do not be discouraged. The process is not as streamlined as we may think. Today being the 20th of October, we have plenty of time till the 5th of November.

Nah I don't think it's by region...warumnicht is in Switzerland and I'm in Australia. And I never got the name of my admissions coordinator in any of the communications with INSEAD (why would I need this?? Last thing I want is be perceived as bugging the sh*t out of the adcom). But FWIW, looking at the stats on page 1, 3 of the 4 confirmed interview invitees are North American.

I requested that they send the interview decision early if possible, since I am planning to leave for a motorcycle trip around the world before the interview decision date and needed to know whether I should be staying in Sydney for a few extra weeks or not. Not sure if that played a role in my early notification, but I'd like to think it did.

From what I've read (at least with final admit decisions), they send out a small number of invites a few weeks prior to the deadline, but the bulk are sent on or around the deadline.

Anyway, good luck to those still awaiting reply...but not TOO much luck :twisted: :twisted: :wink: :wink:

Ok, guys. I just went through INSEAD 2009 Intake thread on BW. And they got quite a few invites on Oct 23, 2008, which was a Thursday 2 weeks before the official date, a similar day this year would be tomorrow! So I am anticipating more invites flowing in tomorrow morning!! I hope my invitation is on its way :)
