Can anyone whose gotten an invite post the dates for on-campus and New York interviews? Assuming adcom gives interviewees time to make travel plans, it could give some sense of timing of finding out about the remaining invites..

Congrats to all those with confirmed interview dates! For those of us without, only 2 weeks until all invites are out. No matter what happens, at least we had the courage to take the shot. That's more than a lot of people can say :)

Interviews in Boston are from Nov 03 to Nov 19
There are still 08 spots not taken on Nov 19. All the rest is taken.

In NY interviews are from Oct 30 to Nov 05. All spots are taken.

Could someone please put similar stats for all the other interview locations. Thanks

Everyone keep in mind what was said in the HBS admissions blog however...

"We will continue to add slots in many locations as we send out more interviews, and there is ALWAYS the option to come to campus."

https://www.hbs.edu/mba/admissions/blog.html

So, even if ALL of the Boston slots are still filled up, from that one line I get the impression that you can ALWAYS go to campus...

yeah, i think that's why the guy asked about total invitations issued rather than spots left.

the post says that 398 slots are full and 464 were available..doesnt that mean that only 398 have signed up?

right, sorry to state this precisely, 398 kids have replied to an invite, and you can speculate how many invites are out there which have not been responded to,but prob. not many

interesting. A few things i'm wondering about because I have nothing better to do with my time:

1. New York only has 42 spots. That's a bit strange given the large applicant pool that is bound to apply from there. Possible reasons: (a) new york invitations have only partially been given out [adcomms looked at different sections of the US/globe first figuring they could return to the "Traditional" applicants later] or (b) they don't feel the need to stay as long in New York because, let's face it, if you live in new york, you can take the train up to Boston without too much trouble. I tend to believe the latter.

2. California by far has the most open spots (38% of all open spots and 32% of all total Cal slots). Possible reasons: (a) They're prepared but have not yet sent out a couple dozen California invitations. (b) They're traveling across the country and already planned on having enough time for a bunch of California interviews, but there just aren't that many people they want to interview out there (c) Lots of people in California have probably lived on the West Coats all their lives (or at least a lot of it) and may want to visit Boston during their interviews more than elsewhere. International apps are too far/expensive to go to Boston, the east coast, etc. has already been to Boston or at least knows what it's about. I tend to lean (because I am a pessimist) toward (a).

Yes kudos for your California theory which has allowed me to stop bugging out for at least long enough to enjoy the Giants game 8-)
