Hi everyone, question to WL candidates: did you receive any reply from adcom after sending them additional materials? I mean a notice about receiving and adding documents to your profile.
What email address did you use to send supplemental information? General adcom or Karen Watt, who deals with waitlisted candidates?

Does anyone know if the interviewer reads through your application after you interview, but before giving a recommendation? A sentence in the article below give me that impression:

"Interviewers grade the candidates on the same one to six scale. Once the interview report comes in, the file is then given to another admissions director who has not yet seen it."

The full article can be found on Poets and Quants (page 5 for quote, I'm not allowed to post links yet :)). The "same one to six scale" the article refers to (see page 2) includes recommendations, essays, etc.

Its a small detail, but I think it can make a world of difference for some...

I had my interview/visit on campus today. For what it is worth, during the info session with a member of the adcom, he said something along the lines of: for reasons not typically seen (perhaps an increase in deposits R1), it was harder than usual to get an R2 interview this year.

Quick question for you all- I am a R2 applicant and I was just offered a great fellowship opportunity with my company that will be complete before I start b-school in the fall. Should I update the Booth ad-com about this?

No, I don't think the interviewer reads the application after the interview. I am sure that Booth probably gives the interviewer an instruction packet that details what constitutes a 1 to 6 on their scoring scale, and that is probably what they use to score us. At least that is how I would interpret it occurring.

I would agree with Brysondavis- I believe Booth wants the interviewer to make an independent assessment of the candidate. Hence, I don't believe that he/she reads the application. Although, he/she may make notes of your goals/items you discuss in the interview. Ofcouse, this should be consistent with the rest of your application (i.e. essays, resume, etc). I would also agree with the point that the interviewer is assessing you on the scale of 1 to 6. No familiar on the categories though of this assessment. But I believe Booth's interview is more fit than anything. Can you walk the talk and really bring that passion into your conversation and engage with another person. It's more a litmus test, can the interviewer see you as a potential classmate that he/she would want to interact with on their assignments, team activities etc. Good luck all :)

Take that with a grain of salt considering they interviewed much higher than their historic 50% in R1 and around 50% in R2. The spreadsheet data confirms, at least for GC participants, a greater than 50% chance of interview.

I got asked the dreaded question in my interview...What other schools did you apply to and tell me your reasoning for choosing each one. Then of course the follow up of What will you do if accepted to all? ughhh

Think it went well overall though

does anyone know what is the significance of interview in the total admission procedure.

many people are writing their bad experience with the interviewer so I think Booth should not be giving to much emphasis on the interview or they should not base their decisions based on interviews right?
