Yeah. Mine says "We are missing your official GMAT score report."

I just called and they said the message may have been just posted recently and they don't know why we wouldn't receive an email, but it may essentially mean that our application wasn't flagged for it (it wasn't urgent enough in other words) to receive an email about it.

Not too sure what to make of this. Though I highly doubt this makes a difference. I think I remember reading in the application process somewhere that official GMAT scores weren't needed for the application so I'm not too sure why this is happening.

I thought so too. I never submitted an official GMAT score. I just ordered one in, but was unable to get a hold of the admissions office.

Can someone verify? Are official scores needed before an accept?

Thanks,
Dan

Take a look at Booth's FT admissions FAQ:
"chicagobooth.edu/fulltime/faq/index.aspx"
Q: Are late test scores accepted?
A: No. It is best to apply when all of your paperwork is in order, as we do not review incomplete applications. GMAT test scores are self-reported via the online application for the initial review of your materials. (Note: Self-reported scores are considered unofficial.) Your official scores are required once you submit your application. Chicago Booth can obtain copies of your official GMAT scores via Pearson and ACT, Inc. only if you have granted our school access. Failure to provide our school access to your official scores may result in a delay of your application being sent for review. We will not make a final decision on your application without official GMAT scores.

Ok now I'm really confused. I actually emailed them about GMAT score reporting before I submitted my application. And their reply said:"If admitted to the program, we will require that you arrange for your official test scores and transcripts to be sent to us." That's why I didn't order an official report. Now it's too late for me to order one anyway.

So I did not receive the email, nor have I ever received an email confirming receipt of my official gmat scores (which I sent 3 months ago). Still, my application shows they were received/validated. Anybody else in this boat?

Think the best thing to do now is wait for tomorrow. Everybody who gets a call, can they confirm if they received an email or not? that way we'll know whether the email was a simple mistake or if it really was sent off to the admitted class.

Also - I recently called, and they said the official scores being submitted or not has nothing to do with the decision process. So for everyone out there who's scores are unverified at the moment, it doesn't matter unless you're admitted.

I'm going to disappear from this thread until Wednesday for fear of another Ross type situation. Spare me the ensuing drama rollercoaster!

This is depressing. I don't believe this was a "random glitch" of any sort, but more an early notification.

I took the GMAT in August 2010 and got an email from Chicago Booth noting that score was received within 2.5 weeks of taking the exam. But then I retook the exam in November, and auto reported the new score report at the testing center. I didn't receive any confirmation from Booth on this new score. During this time, I changed my GMAT registration email address to the same address that I have when I submitted my Booth application. And did not get any new email (on the new address) confirming that my score was received. Also, when I click "Print Application", my score appears to be verified one day after I received the interview invite from Booth.

This process is painful! But knowing the numbers of people (183) who attended the admit weekend in early Feb, per the Blog entry by Joanne, I do believe those whose scores were verified or even second-verified, were truly admits for R2 from GC.

Ross decision situation:
1. "Preliminary decisions" released about a week early, then pulled back and notified via e-mail that it wasn't final.
2. Then, varying ability to gain access to a financial aid link which caused a similar stir thinking that only those who had access were admitted.

Ultimately, I think everyone is situation #1 was admitted, but I don't think #2 held to be true.

Let's not let this e-mail situation digress into that. We all just need to relax for the next 23 hours until calls start!

I received the GMAT e-mail probably 6 weeks ago, and up until today, my application listed my gmat score as not yet verified. I printed it Friday and it said not yet verified and I printed it again today and it now says that my score was verified on 2/9/11. My status also still says Invite to Interview. I think they may just be slow to get everything updated in the online system - but I don't think it necessarily means anything. Furthermore, if it was an official e-mail from Booth, why in the world would you have the opportunity to unsubscribe. None of the other e-mails officially from Booth list this option at the bottom. Only a few more hours folks! Good luck to all.

Nikki,

Dont be depressed. Im not sure what to feel about the email. Maybe it means something maybe it doesnt. This might sound crazy but its nothing until its something haha. We are all going through this process. We have 1 day to go until we know for sure. We made it this long, lets not speculate until its final. Good luck :)

It's not the email itself that is concerning, it's the selection of those who received it that is (if you're someone who didn't receive it). I was clinging to the theory that those with 2011 updates were the ones to receive, but it looks like ringa disproved that. We'll all know in less than 48 hours though.

OooOOOo I love the speculation. In all of the other threads for schools I applied to there is silence. At least this makes things interesting :-).

Nope. I actually didn't. (Although that is an excellent assumption based on my comments.) :-P.

I am just tired, physically and mentally, and I don't think I can handle anymore speculation. Therefore, I have developed a sick infatuation with it. Trying to tame the insecurity resulting from the uncertainty is not worth the effort...so I learned to embrace it!
