R1 Waitlister, waitlisted again. Kind of expected given the very high yield for my fellow countrymen in R1, but a little bit disappointing the same...

Do we need to send an email to accept the waitlist offer or is it required only for getting removed off the WL?

I sent 2 letters with updates on what I have been up to (new projects I am leading, new extracurricular leadership positions, etc.) and also had an alum and a peer submit letters supporting me.
