Did you hear about anyone that was dinged in round 2?
How long after the deadline for round 1 did the applicants received the denial notice?

just got my interview invite, for reference submitted hours before the deadline on Jan. 5th. The moment i received the invite I checked my status for the online application and it had already changed from "complete for committee review" to "blah blah blah, a decision will be rendered on the posted date" or something like that. I remember an earlier reply in the thread asking about that-I think that if it changes to the later status without an invite then one is not forthcoming. Goodluck to all

I had my interview this morning on campus. It was pretty informal (other than both the interviewer and myself being in suits). It's more like a conversation than a grilling. I was interviewed by a 2nd year student and he asked me questions such as "Walk me through your resume," "why an MBA, why now, why Anderson?" "Talk about a difficult issue you faced while working with a team," "what had been your greatest failure either in school or at work?" "What are your greatest strengths?" etc.

All in all, not too bad as long as you prepare a bit and are ready to explain why you belong in the class of 2013 at Anderson!

I haven't heard about anyone being dinged in R2 yet, just those of us who have not heard anything.

I got my interview invite about 1 month after the application deadline, which was about 2 months before the notification date. But those 2 months were more like 1.5 months given the fact that admissions was closed for two weeks over the holidays.

Plenty of R1 applicants got interview invites during that last month--there's hope yet.

Had my interview on-campus earlier today. It was very laid back and the guy was super nice. No surprise question at all!
At the end I asked a couple of questions and the interview was done. Length was around 45 minutes.

Got my interview invite today at 4:41pm pacific time.

I got a scare since my application status changed when I checked this morning but I ended up getting the invite a lot later today. Good luck everyone...I REALLY hate this waiting game

Not sure if this will make anyone feel better, but I just checked the on-campus interview schedule (out of curiosity) and they just added a whole new set of time slots in March (when I was scheduling, it just went up to 2/24)...so keep up the hope! :lol:

Does your status say "Your application is complete for committee review" or "Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round"?

I've scanned both the 2010 and 2011 threads and found that ppl who see their status change to "decision released by the published date...." status w/o an interview invite get the status change at the end of the interview invite period, presumably when the adcom sends a rejection email blast to the unlucky individuals. I have not read about anyone who got the status change in the middle of the interview invite period but did not receive a subsequent interview invite. The way I understand it is this:

1) If you get the status change to "Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round" during the interview invite period you will most likely (from the comments i've seen) get an invite.

2) However, if you get the status change towards the very end of the interview invite period, you may or may not get the invite. You could be one of the very last invites or the first to receive the blast email rejection.

3) If you don't get a status update at all, like me, you are either in contention because your application hasnt been reviewed yet, or you are dinged and just don't know it.
