Lol - I missed that one. There are people pasting their entire profiles into there asking if they will be admitted. If it would be that easy there wouldn't be an application process!

Come on guys, not everyone spends the same amount of time researching and asking questions online; thus why they do it in the chat. If there were something called stupid questions, only a few of us would talk in class and at work.

I guess you're right. I just get the feeling that there's a generic answer to that kind of question along the lines of "If you think you can do anything to improve your profile then you should," but that's probably because I've attended so many of these sessions.

well how sad, it looks like there is no ding dan anymore, at least that gave hope for an answer at some point during the R1 application process. Witout ding-day the wait will be longer!

I wish they explained when the interview invites would be sent first on a region-by-region basis and how many were remaining.

I read somewhere that last year (I think in the BW forum), that the first admit was reported 12/22, and others trickled out throughout January with most a few days before the decision date. Does anyone know if MIT will still release a handful of early decisions (admitted) this year or will it be all on Jan 31?

My interviewer told me that all decisions would be released on January 29th.
