Scanned copies are enough for the application stage.

Hey Kevin,

Appreciate your help.

I am confused with what I can write under

Collegiate Activities Does it mean High school participation and Employement?
I mean can I mention activities like the sports which we played
or involvement in programs like Scout .
Any awards that we won.
Science Fairs so on?

Post-Collegiate Activities I guess graduation extra cirricular activities
Volunteering.

Hobbies

I guess this will be more useful for people who got stuff like peta beta gama something in their schools and they have been president or something.

Regards.

kevintay

Hi BlueRobin,

I basically answered this in a numbered and bulleted format. I submited one document of 3 pages, one section on each page. I'm not sure if this is the approach preferred by the adcom though. Personally I do not find it strange, as this is the only place where Johnson ask for information on your ECs. What is uncommon, perhaps, is that candidates can upload a document (without much guidelines) on their ECs, while most other schools have it in as a section with structured inputting within the main application document.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Does anybody know when Johnson will start to release the admission decisions for R1, and will they call admitted internationals?

Best of luck,
Kevin

Hi BlueRobin,

IMO, I believe Collegiate Activities refer to your ECs in university. In US, I understand college refers to university. If you have won awards, competition, leadership position, etc. in university, you should definitely write about them. Post-Collegiate Activities refer to your ECs after graduation from university. This will be what you participated in outside work. Volunteering, if you are involved, is definitely one area you can discuss. Hobbies will be things which you do on your own and not through any organisation. I guess you can share hobbies which are related or aligned to your aspirations/values, or unique hobbies, if you have any, so you would stand out as an interesting/fun candidate to have in class.

Anybody else care to share your views on this?

All best!

Dear All,

I finished my Adcom phone interview(R1) on 11/5/2010, but the status is still interview scheduled. Is there any candidate having this problem?

Any insight would be much appreciated!

The system is probably just slow updating the progress on your application. There is nothing to worry about.

Round 1 guy here.. I interviewed about 3 weeks ago in Ithaca, and thought the interview went "ok". Dont want to divulge who the interviewer was (it was not an admissions officer), but looks like that person hasnt submitted the interview write-up yet. So my status still says Interview Scheduled... I called the admissions office, and they said they would follow-up and not to worry about it, but it is starting to make me a little queasy given the decision date is now a week away.

Thank you to the members who filled out their details in our spreadsheet:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... 7_YJ#gid=0

You guys got this. To everyone else: please feel free to fill out as much or as little as you like. The more people share their profiles, the more useful this spreadsheet will be to everyone - we're all better off having lots of profiles (albeit incomplete) than only a few (complete) ones. Thanks in advance for being team players.

Same here. My interview was about two weeks back and it's still showing "interview scheduled." I would assess my interview as just "ok" as well.

Kudos to you, buddy for the help.

I was thinking Collegiate means college, which is equivalent to High School in India. Thanks for clarifying.

any idea to what length can we write about our volunteering activities. I guess a few lines 200 words would not hurt but an essay might be too much information.

Same applies for hobbies.

Chime in your views.

Regards.

Well I did all 3 sections in a bulleted format. For collegiate activities, I had 190 words; for post-collegiate activities, I had 150 words (and I did discuss my volunteering activities here); for hobbies, I had 80 words. I did exceed the 400 word limit slightly, hope it is acceptable though.

Hello all - I'm sure this has been discussed, but when are we expecting admission results? I know the decision date is the 20th, but do they typically call before that? If so, how early?

You can add me to round one. My profile: 6 WE, IB > Hedge Funds > PWM / 3.5 at large public university / 710 GMAT / Excellent EC / Interviewed in Ithaca

I wish all those waiting good luck!

Application finally went complete. 12 days after the interview. MBATexan -- seems like last year, notification was on the 17th (a Thursday), but people got calls starting the 15th. If someone gets in before the 20th, I'm sure we'll hear about it here.

Yikes! I haven't gotten mine either. However, I did get a request for my official gmat score. Did your status get updated on the application portal?
