Tuck (Dartmouth): Class of 2017 - Calling All Applicants!

I'm guessing if we don't get a call today it's either WL or Dingville.

knowing some got the call while others wait...it literally could be at ANY moment. no pressure at all...

Fuqua and Tuck are both supposed to be letting applicants know by 5pm tomorrow. The Fuqua thread has been blowing up since 6am as dozens of people all over the world are posting about getting calls. As I'm writing this, there are 22 applicants who've changed their status to admitted. By contrast, we've only had 2 people post on Tuck's forums that they've been admitted, and only 2 who have changed their status. This makes me think that Tuck calls are not actually in full swing. This means it's not actually a bad sign if you haven't received a call yet. They may start ramping up their calls this afternoon, or they may make the bulk of them tomorrow. So basically, don't despair yet

I'm eternally grateful that Tuck's AdCom has chosen to drag this out over two days instead of just making calls over one ~12 hour period.

does that mean they will call if you get accepted and if we don't get a call, then we are rejected?

That's usually how it works, though I've read in one place that one person heard only via email that (s)he was accepted.

I got the call about 40 mins ago as well. No mention of a scholarship. Has anyone who was accepted heard about a scholarship over the phone? Unfortunately without scholarship money I don't really see how I can attend, so I'd probably have to withdraw.

Really? Do you have any other offers w/ scholarship?

Come from a fairly non-affluent background, work in the nonprofit sector, and don't have plans to work in a super high-paying field post-graduation. Also have been admitted to Harvard Law School with a fairly sizable scholarship, which is probably the route that I would go down if I can't get a good deal on the MBA (although i would much prefer an MBA).

Seems like adcom might only be making a few calls today. It's really quiet.

Do you think it's because they don't admit as many people this round? Does anyone know the sizes between all of the rounds? This is essentially, Tuck's 3rd round (of 4).

From Mexico here. I've just got the call, I was so nervous. Are some of you planning to attend to the Admit Weekend? Also, can someone please send me the website for admits on a private message? I was so nervous that I couldn't write the direction right.
