I used to live in San Diego and knew some people who did the FEMBA. It's a good program. For finance, UCLA is the best school on the west coast.
If I'm not mistaken Business Week now has Anderson as their number one part time program. A bummer for me since I'm going to Stern (the former number one) but still. If you're doing a part time MBA, there's nothing wrong with UCLA.

klr - I'm in the Bay Area but liked UCLA FEMBA much better than Haas. The class is more diverse, the GAP program is pretty good and career services seem more helpful. Fingers crossed. Lets hope.
I know there were some students from the Bay Area as well when my friends were going (2-3 years ago). Yeah it will be a drag but it can be done. All the things you listed are good reasons to choose Anderson over Haas. Good luck!
did anyone submit for R1? we should be notified of the decisions tomorrow.. this is so nerve racking... did anyone that submit to ucla also submit to usc?

I am in for Round 2 also (yeah..no Round 3's this time for Anderson). Re-applicant ...Confident this time. Will apply to USC also this time as a back up. Remember seeing "Go Bruins" postings somewhere in this forum..not sure whether its the same..Same with Beckee..
Anyways, good luck to all and we should keep this thread alive. Bumped about few postings for FEMBA all the time..
ahhhh.....trying to complete Essays 2 and 3... especially challenging for me because I'm a Bay Area applicant who was admitted at Haas, but want to spend 5-6 precious hours of my weekend to attend the school I like more. Will have to convince adcom that my interest is genuine.
I applied to the Full Time program in 2008 then took a year off to focus on my career. Made a career change into the field I wanted and then re-applied to the FEMBA program.
Feels awesome to get in.
I was surprised, as I thought I was going to get a call from the admissions office. When I saw the email letting me know that my "status was updated", I figured I didn't get in. Not the case.
Awesome.
