ULTIMATE Study Plan for New GMAT Test Takers by OPTIMUS PREP

You are new and want to score as high as possible while using your time and your financial resources with maximum efficiency?

This guide is EXACTLY what you were looking for. It will explain how you can reach your target score with a reasonable investment and almost no risk due to a 50 points GMAT score improvement or full refund guarantee for Optimus Prep’s 23 or 34 hour private tutoring package (in-person or online).

STEP 1) Familiarize yourself with the GMAT

What is the GMAT and how is it structured?

All you need to know about GMAT scores

gmat-scores-83890.html

How is the GMAT score calculated? This is important to understand!

STEP 2) Get an understanding of how to correctly prepare for the GMAT

    - Learn more about the individual approach of Optimus Prep and understand the most important aspects of your GMAT prep!
    - Take a free diagnostic test and get an individual study plan based on your results
    - Based on your target score a non-binding recommendation of how many hours of prep you will need will be given to you

STEP 3) Execute your game plan with your private tutor

1) Take the entire on demand course before you start with the first tutoring lesson
2) Take the on demand course between the lessons and take only those parts recommended by your tutor (areas where you are strong can be skipped if you have a deadline)

ON DEMAND COURSE PRODUCT VIDEO

    - Which option should be preferred depends on your personal circumstances and should be discussed with your tutor after your diagnostic test. Your target score plays a major role here as well
    - Take the lessons with your tutor. Don’t be shy; ask as many questions as needed. Take advantage of this highly private atmosphere you would never face in any class course.
    - The study plan will be constantly adjusted based on your progress. Your tutor has access to your on demand course and can observe how you are doing
    - Take as many GMAT practice tests as possible. Optimus Prep includes the most GMAT practice tests in the industry because they are one of the most valuable tools to see where you currently stand without going to the test center and paying for the real GMAT. This is crucial once you have an understanding of the material
    - Use an error log (the-error-log-129501.html) to identify and eliminate your mistakes
    - Learn to avoid stupid mistakes
    - Learn valuable time (timing-strategies-on-the-gmat-80176.html?fl=menu) and stress management techniques
    - Plan to spend 2-4 months if you want to score 700+
    - Optional: the Optimus Prep on demand course has 5,500 questions and explanations included. However, if you prefer to use a book we highly recommend the official guide. If you prefer other options or want to get an overview click here (books-to-read-improve-verbal-score-and-enjoy-a-good-read-76079.html)

Step 4) Stay motivated and be aware that this is hard work and some students need several attempts to get their target score
