Hello all,

I'm writing this while in a state of deep stress caused by the inconsistent results on GMAT test and GMAT mock tests I'm seeing. I have put in couple of months, followed TTP study material, practiced GMAT club questions, OG questions, TTP questions. But nothing seems to improve my verbal and DI score. Looking for experts' help on how to proceed from here, so that I can get the best out of myself and the test.

I have my next test scheduled on 1st December, 2024, my target is 675

Below is a history of my scores:

13-10-2024 Official Mock 3 565 (Q84, V73, DI77)
14-10-2024 Official Mock 4 535 (Q79, V74, DI77)
06-11-2024 GMAT Club test 1 655 (Q87, V80, DI80)
08-11-2024 GMAT Club test 2 585 (Q81, V80, DI76)
11-11-2024 GMAT Club test 3 585 (Q80, V80, DI77)
13-11-2024 Actual GMAT test 555 (Q90, V69, DI73)
22-11-2024 GMAT Club test 4 635 (Q84, V80, DI81)
24-11-2024 Official Mock 5 535 (Q84, V73, DI73)

Details of Actual GMAT test -->
555 (Q90, V69, DI73)
V69 - I was able to attempt 19 questions, got 8 correct and guessed next 4 questions, got 3 correct out of them.
D73 - Was able to attempt 18 questions, got 9 correct and guessed next 2 questions, got both of them wrong.

Details of GMAT Club test 4 -->
635 (Q84, V80, DI81)
V80 - Was able to attempt 18 questions, got 10 correct and guessed rest of them, got all wrong.
D81 - Was able to attempt 17 questions, got 9 questions correct and guessed rest of them, got all wrong.

Details of GMAT Mock 5 -->
535 (Q84, V73, DI73)
V73 - Started feeling anxious after attempting 10 questions in 30 minutes. Was able to attempt 15 questions, got 6 correct. Guessed rest of them and got all wrong.
D73 - Was able to attempt up to 17 questions and got 8 correct only. Felt questions were easier comparatively from previous mocks and GMAT test. But got wrong many of them.

P.S. Took official Mock 1 & 2 quite some time ago.
MartyMurray GMATNinja chetan2u Bunuel bb would really help your inputs here.

Hi AjiteshArun,

Thank you for your response.

My Error log indicates that I have around 2/3rd questions correct in practice. I created some time pressure for me today and observed I am able to do one CR question without time pressure in 2 minutes, however same question takes 3 minutes when I am putting myself in time pressure.

From this observation, could you please help me out here how can I improve my time pressured accuracy at this time.
That's another reason not to focus on speeding up. It may just be better to focus on accuracy and let some of the questions in the middle or at the end go (guess, don't leave them unmarked).

Most importantly, you're retaking in a few days (Dec 1). Normally, it's a good idea to avoid making any major changes at this stage.

All the best.
