I am fortunate to get an admit from both the school I applied too. However with UNC results being out yesterday and ISB fee payment deadline in just 2 days. I am leaning towards ISB just because of its reputation in India where I have studied and worked plus a 1 year program is definitely enticing. A bit wary of UNC right now just because of the uncertainty and risk involved with Jobs for internationals and Visa rules.
Choosing UNC would mean I have to forgo around USD 7k in fees paid to ISB till date and deal with hassles around visa (difficult to get a visa date in Nepal) and loan all over again. However, the post mba salaries is US are lucrative and UNC being T25 MBA program known for finance placements, is definitely something I considered while applying.
Background: Nepalese, Undergrad from Tier 1 college in India, Management Consulting (1 yr) and front end Investment Banking (2 yrs).
Post MBA goals: IB/PE/VC
