Hey guys I have a doubt regarding the usage of like vs such as. In the example below I am unable to understand the use of like instead of such as
My favorite holiday spots are beach-side destinations like Hawaii and Mauritius.

The example has been picked from a gmat course book
Since like used to compare nouns and not for giving examples I am lil confused over the usage here

Hawaii and Mauritius are examples of beach side destinations. There is no comparison being made between those 2 destinations.
