V19 to V40 advice needed!!

Question

I gave GMAT on 16th January 2018 and unluckily i screwed verbal V19 and quants too Q49 in which i did first 20 ques correct as per ESR. I also saw ESR of one person who got Q50 - my graph of difficulty was on higher side than the graph of difficulty in ESR of person who got q50.

When gmat exam started i thought this is final test in which i have to perform. After this i cant explain what happened with me. 
I was not able to comprehend anything. Everything was going above me. 
I dont know what it was? and why it happened. 
I need some advice in Verbal section. 
I was getting V34 approx in MGMAT in mocks (even got V37 once) and i feel i am not of V 19 level. 
Now i am planning to retake in about a month.

This time i will completely focus on verbal. 
Kindly advice what can i do to perform well.

I did verbal first in gmat and same i followed in mocks. I am planning to give quants first this time. 
Kindly advice on any tips for retake -> 
Also advice how to overcome what happened with me.

Hi Sahil, which resources did you use for Verbal preparation and how did you score in GMATPreps?

For sentence correction i used yours SC nirvana and MGMAT SC
POWERSCORE CR and MGMAT CR
For RC only official passages.

Also, what does the ESR say about your performance in various sub-sections of Verbal?

Referring ESR is not worth as V19 score is not my real score. 
Rc 10
Sc 19
Cr 24
Individual from esr -> 
In mocks my strength order was SC >CR>RC

Accuracy in mocks in sc more than 70 percent
Cr 60-65%
Rc around 50-55. 
But this again depend upon toughness level of ques offered in test.

I also faced a weird issue 
In mgmat verbal score were 
First v32
Second v34
Third V32
Fourth V34
Fifth V37

In gmat prep -> v24 and V28 gave only 2 free gmat prep test. 
These v24 and v28 scores were before giving mgmat mocks.

I also have a doubt -> 
While i gave mgmat mocks i was able to comprehend CR , SC errors 
In exam i was not able to recognise any error in SC and i was picking choices by intution or whichever was sounding right. 
But this was not the case in mgmat tests.

I have really studied verbal sincerely but results in mgmat tests were also below my expectations.

For your info - i have never solved mgmat questions before tests so there was no chance of repetition.

I dont know what happened with me in exam. 
Even i solved og 18,16 ,12 and verbal review 17,18 -> my score in mgmat mocks was not upto my expectation.

Kindly advice now what to do next.

For SC i have read your sc nirvana atleast twice before this attempt.

Hi Sahil, as you would know, the recommendation is to focus on  GMATPrep  tests, since these tests are the most authentic reflection of your ability. In GMATPrep tests, you scored V24 and V28. So, I would consider  these  scores (and not your scores in other mock tests) as more representative.

You did the  right  thing by reading SC Nirvana twice. You would have realized that it's a dense book and we have specifically mentioned in the editorial also (that one needs to read the book twice, to  reinforce  the concepts). The effort that you put in, seemed to be reflecting in your "strength order" (SC >CR>RC).

By the way, were you maintaining your "strength order" (SC >CR>RC) in GMATPrep tests as well?
