Hi OK735,

Recently, you posted that your Score Goal was in the 500-550 range. Back in November, 2020, you posted that you were actually scoring in the 500-550 range and that you were planning to take the GMAT in December. Did you take the GMAT as planned (and if you did, then how did you score - including the quant and Verbal Scaled Scores?)?

In addition, I have a few questions about how you have been studying so far:

1) What type of study routine have you been following? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) To confirm: are you scheduled to (re)take the Official GMAT in 1 week? Are you taking the At-home GMAT or are you taking your GMAT at a Test Facility?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

I am scoring around V20 in GMAT diagnostic tests. How do I prepare to get to at least V30 on the GMAT? Is it very difficult to improve to V30 from V20?

Posted from my mobile device

Hi OK375,

A score of V20 indicates that you are struggling with the concepts and are struggling a lot with application of concepts. I'm not sure how you prepared till now but if you aren't using any standard resource, then I suggest you to go with a good online course which can help you to learn the concepts and methods and which can provide you with questions and their detailed solutions.

It's not impossible to improve your score but it takes a lot of effort. Even I improved my verbal score from 26 to 38. So, just be patient. Focus on the process and do the prep in the right way. I have made a couple of debriefs about how I improved my score. You can go through it to understand better.

Debrief of my journey from 570 to 680 to 720

Debrief of Scoring a perfect CR 51 ( 97 percentile ) from being an amateur in CR

Hope it helped. All the best :)
