I think this is a high-quality question and I don't agree with the explanation. When the passage clearly mention "tested with an identical foraged species", how can we assume species varied in experiments.

To weaken the conclusion when we say same basic experiment guidelines were used, it says quality has been maintained as per basic guidelines and hence quality has not been compromised.

Hi MomoJiayou,
In the argument, species that are foraged are identical whereas in option D, bumblebee species are different.
Cheers

souvik101990 I am still not convinced that option D of different species of bumblebee caused the variation is results since the argument mentions identical foraging species used. Could you please help me with this?

One explanation that comes to my mind is that identical foraging species as explained in argument may mean equal population species. Thus, it could be the case that identical foraging species would mean similar population species bot not same species. Is this the rationale behind D?
