There’s a subtle but important difference between B and E that makes one correct and the other incorrect. If you carefully consider the argument, it’s built on the assumption that parents have a moral obligation to teach their children the value of truthfulness and that’s the specific gap we need to address.

Option B shifts the focus by suggesting that parents must always tell the truth themselves, which is a broader claim and not the point the argument is making. It moves away from the obligation to teach certain values and instead emphasizes parent's personal behavior, which makes it a mismatch.

Option E, on the other hand, directly targets the assumption that parents are responsible for teaching certain values. That fills the gap in the argument more precisely, which is why E is the better choice.

bb didn't get the explanation for option B as if i apply negation technique on this then statement becomes "Parents are not bound to tell the truth". If this statement is true then lying to children doesn't violate the moral obligation parents have to teach their children the importance of telling the truth. I am really confused why option B is wrong. I understand why option E is right but don't know why option B is wrong.
