Hey Guys,

Vault is offering a decent discount on 1Y subscription these days ($105 for 1 Y). Is it really worth it to research careers, read old essays and prepare applications.

-Thanks

In my opinion, no. Most schools have clubs that will provide really good descriptions of careers. If you need help finding anything, look through the career forum and post something if you can't find what you're looking for.

Sample essays are pretty easy to come by. I'd recommend using your library to try and find some of the typical MBA books (Montauk I checked out from the library for instance, but now is probably a high demand time).

I used the Vault subscription (3 month subscription) before.

It has some sample essays for all top schools, although the quality of some of the essays I've read were below average in my opinion.

My favorite part on that website was student survey for each school's admission process, academics, career services, student life and etc submitted by students. Depending on the school, you will see either frustrated students or happy students telling it like it is.

Thanks Guys, I agree on essays. Even when you read excerpts, some of them are totally crap. However, I am thinking student survey and some other things may be helpful.

More than that, I just payed a traffic ticket of $150, so, ended up taking Vault's plunge too... thinking, heck, how bad can this be :)
