hi.. should i look at powerscore verbal guide or look at powerscore CR and powerscore RC individual books separately
I am not too happy with the Manhattan SC book as well, find it really long and exhausting.. i am thinking i will stick with princeton for SC.
Any suggestions here?

Manhattan SC is a sentence correction bible , and if you are aiming for 700 you will need it.
Powerscore is best (IMHO) book for CR.

Princeton woula prepare you for 500-600 on the GMAT.

Most people prefer the Powerscore CR Bible over the company's general verbal guide. The Powerscore RC Bible can improve one's performance, but it might be best to practice with RC passages instead.

And while the Manhattan SC guidebook is not the smoothest read out there, it is the best SC book on the market. If you're having trouble fully absorbing the material, then perhaps look into the Aristotle SC Grail. Once you finish it, return to the Manhattan book.

Powerscore CR and Manhattan SC are the books you cannot afford to reject in your journey to GMAT if targetting for higher scores..

I know Manhattan SC is a long one but take your time to complete it.. it helps.

my biggest trouble has been with Manhattan SC.. find it very long..

Although MGMAT SC is a great book, it did not work for me. As someone has suggested, buy the SC Grail and go through it. This book does a great job at explaining the basics. I used the SC Grail and then went through the first few chapters of MGMAT SC book, noted down some rules such as the use of like v/s as etc. Then I targeted the IG questions directly, the learning that I got from the OG explanations was unmatchable to any book, including the MGMAT SC book . Ofcourse, this is what worked for me :-) . I have no idea about the powerscore verbal book though , the powerscore CR book is phenomenal !!!!
