hi everyone,
i've done the gmat and scored 480: Q44 V15.
i'm italian and i've just a B2/C1 in english, so i'm not that bad with the understanding, but i really can't handle the verbal part. The question is: a 44 in the quantitative part is good or bad? And second, how can i improve for the verbal part in like 2 weeks? more in the specific for the sentence correction part. The reasoning part it's not a problem. For the verbal part last time i did wrong 9 sentence correction out of 12? or something like that..
thank you
Yo!
Not an expert but I kind of faced a similar problem a few weeks back. In general, I hated grammar, partly because in school, I never was made to see the logic - just the rules. I would suggest that you go through the
MGMAT Foundation in Verbal book and really try to understand what it has to offer. I believe the book is amazing and it can really push your score. Once you are done with it, consider going through the
MGMAT Strategy Guides (SC, CR, RC) for additional help.
I started with 26 percentile in verbal (Veritas mock) then moved up to 66 percentile (Veritas mock) with just this one Foundation book. It is beautifully written and kind of helped me like grammar. After that, I went through some part of Strategy Guides and a few other posts on GMATClub(follow the ones in the study plan). I just gave an official mock test 3 days back with a verbal score of 40. So, there is a good chance that these books will really help you.
All the best! May the force be with you, my friend. Feel free to reach out, if you have any additional questions.
Regards,
Monil.
