Yes, GPA will really hurt you for the top programs. You will most likely have to look further down the list of top programs. GMAT should also be a big focus to prove your competency. So if you are still targeting top programs your GMAT will probably need to be a bit higher as well. Good Luck

Hi trkswr,

There is still hope, not to worry! GPA is just one factor that schools will be looking at. In your essays/application, it can help to acknowledge the low score and give a reason for it (sometimes I've seen people working day jobs so was hard to keep up with school, or a family medical reason, or whatever). You have a chance to validate your academics so to do so, you will need to score a stellar gmat score - aim for mid to high 700s if you can. Of course it's also just not about the academics but if the rest of your profile meets the school criteria. But there is a way to get around your low GPA. I don't know much about you but already you have 'unconventional' career experience in fashion so makes for an interesting application.

If you'd like a full (free) 30-minute consultation feel free to reach out to us anytime at https://fortunaadmissions.com/free-consultation/

Good luck to you and happy gmat studying!
