I agree with taking a diagnostic test first to figure out which areas are weak. I have the same set of books (also have OG quant and verbal), and here is my plan:
-Take Diagnostic test (mine was GMATPrep)
-Go through all
MGMAT books, doing the problem sets at the end of each chapter; however, skip the OG Problems at first
-After getting through all
MGMAT books, take another test; hopefully you've improved after all the study using
MGMAT-At this time, start back up with the
MGMAT books, doing the OG practice problems listed in each book; if you go through all problems listed, you should have done all problems in the OG Guide; make sure to keep an
error log in this step, which will further help you identify problem areas
-By now, you've completed the
MGMAT Books and OG; you should have a solid knowledge base for the GMAT; Take practice tests (
MGMAT, GMATPrep, and others) to start to get your timing down
-Also, focus on solidyfiying your weak spots as identified by your
error logThis is just my strategy, yours could end up being different. I'm just in the process now, so I also don't have results of how this worked. Best of luck in your studies though!
