Hi guys. Need some help here. First time poster long time reader. So I took the GMAT Prep Test 1 today and scored a 610 (42Q 32V). 14 incorrect in math 15 incorrect in verbal. Very dissapointed with this score. My Kaplan practice test scores were, in order, 620, 640, 630, 690, 640. I had read that Kaplan preps were more difficult so I was encouraged with my chances of scoring in the high 600's, until now...
The 42 math is my lowest by a good margin as I hadn't received anything below a 45 and was recently scoring 47 on Kaplan preps. My verbal has been all over the place so not too surprised. Any ideas on what may have gone wrong? My test is in two weeks and I plan on taking GMAT Prep Test 2 this weekend. Would appreciate any feedback/advice.

As a first step, look over the questions you missed. Are there any common themes, such as unfamiliar concepts, careless calculation errors, etc.?
Sometimes you just pull a bad set of questions or have an off day, but your best chance of finding answers is probably in the exam itself.

Thanks Will. I took GMAT Prep Test 2 today and scored 700, so my spirits have been lifted momentarily. Hopefully that will correspond to success on Thursday.
