Hey,
Long time reader, first time poster. Anyways, need some advice regarding scheduling. I'm planning on applying this cycle, currently scheduled to take the GMAT at the end of July, a bit later than I wanted but chose that date because my work schedule in June is pretty hectic. However, over the last week weeks I took the two free practice tests under simulated practice conditions and got 730 (Q47, V44) and 740 (Q47, V45). Given these scores, would it make sense to move my test date up? Was thinking in 2-3 weeks. My schedule is still hectic in June, but I don't know what marginal benefit there is in another 7 weeks of studying.

Hi redchord,
These two CAT scores are fantastic, but before you go rushing in to schedule your GMAT, I'm hoping that you can provide a bit more information about how you took these CATs:
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take them at home?
3) Did you take them at the same time of day (and can you schedule your Official GMAT at that time)?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you're not allowed to do on Test Day (pause the CAT, listen to music, etc.)?
5) Did you ever take either of these CATs previously?
If these scores are indeed accurate, then a longer study 'cycle' is probably not warranted and there would be some logic to taking the GMAT sooner rather than later.
