I've purchased GMAT question pack 1 and am using the questions to create mock tests.
I have a question regarding the creation of an IR section. I have 39 questions in the pool for IR, which makes for about 3 IR sessions. Is there any way to ensure that I won't get questions where the same data (i.e. the information that we need to analyze in every section) is used across sessions? My primary worry is timing; I may get 12 IR questions that involve more or less data to analyze when compared to the actual GMAT.
The answers to your questions are here
1) There is no way to ensure that you won't get any question from the pool that you have access to cause GMAT keep the commerical questions separate from the questions available in their pool which you see in actual GMAT
2) Timing is the usual worry for everyone so the best practical plan is to identify what questions bring you more accuracy and what not. The past experience tells me that if a student gets even 6-7 questions correct out of 12 then the IR score comes as 8/8. Therefore the only objective for you is to decide what types of questions do you find easy to crack (Quant based, Data based etc.)... Target those questions only and save time on the questions which eat up most of your time and still you get them wrong
I hope this helps!!!
