Hi All, I am planning on retaking the GMAT in a month or two for recruiting purposes. I got into the schools that I wanted, but I am now worried about GMAT cutoffs. I would like to add around 50 points to my score and don't care about IR or AWA. My current score is a 650 and would like to get it over 700, just to make sure there is nothing holding me back from breaking into investment banking. I believe my original Quant score was 42 and my Verbal score was 38.
My plan is as follows:
Monday through Thursday (1.5-3 hrs each day, including my commute)
15-20 practice problems each day. Review them thoroughly by going over the problem and making flash cards. I will be reviewing these flash cards each day during my commute to work.
Saturday & Sunday (3-4 hrs each day)
30-40 practice problems each day. Review them thoroughly by going over the problem and making flash cards.
I will use Sundays for practice tests, talking one every other week (total 3-4 before the actual test).
I plan to do this for 1.5 - 2 months. My goal is to study for 10-15 hrs each week. 15 hrs would be weeks that I take a practice test. I will be skipping the IR and AWA sections because they will not help me. I scored high in those on my original test and don't need them for recruiting. I just want a 700.
Any advice on my current plan would be very helpful! Also, does my goal sound reasonable in that time period?
Thanks!
