Here is a customized one month study plan that can help boost your score: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-plan

Use this as a guideline. You don’t have to follow it exactly but the structure of the study plan should be the same structure that you take in your approach. This helps to optimize your retention and learning.

As you study, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but SC -- before moving onto CR and then RC.

Here is a sample SC video to help you start your journey: https://www.gmatpill.com/sentencecorrect ... ythons.mp4

Best of luck - we are here to help.

This is my plan (in execution)
6am to 7am - little bit of a walk & exercise & pump your self to study
7am to 9am - Quant from Official material
9am to 9pm - work (including commute) - here I also analyze what went wrong & those not confident answers in prev quant / verbal sessions
9pm to midnight - verbal

Saturday is split
4 hours of Quant
4 hours of Verbal

Sunday - 1 mock test & analysis

Thank you gmatpill bill and paidlukka.

Both good study plans. Ir is not emphasized very much. How important is it

IR is sufficient enough if started a week before the exam. Moreover first 7-8 questions should be the target. Later 4-5 questions can be answered randomly.

Hi pablosantos,

Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do not use an applicant's IR score when evaluating an application, so you likely have nothing to worry about regarding your ultimate IR score. If you'd like to confirm what a specific School/Program thinks though, then you should contact the Admissions Office of that Program directly and ask.

Many of the skills that you'll use on IR questions are the same skills that you'll use on Verbal CR questions (along with the occasional calculation). As such, it would likely be most efficient for you to hold off on any IR-focused study until you've worked through all of the other subjects first.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi pablosantos,

Generally speaking, you want to score decent enough on the IR section so as not to draw negative attention to a low IR score.

You don't want the admissions committee to focus on a really low IR score of like 1 or 2 -- that shows lack of effort or ability

That said, it's not that much more beneficial to have a perfect 8 versus a 6 or 7.

So ideally, you want to stay in the 4, 5, 6, or 7 range to efficiently get a score that is decent without putting a crazy amount of effort.
