Hello,
My GMAT is in a month's time and I have noticed that whenever I start to solve Verbal questions under countdown timer conditions I get really nervous and lose my focus which affects my thinking process. However when I set the timer for each question without the countdown timer I am able to solve most questions under timed manner. I don't understand why this is happening. I am very worried about this as this made me mess my first exam up. Please suggest some ways I can improve this problem.
Thanks!
If you know timer takes your focus away and creates panic then just don't look at that. If without looking at the timer you're able to finish the section on time then you're just fine not looking at it at all. However it is a good strategy to look at the timer at set intervals and check whether you have solved enough questions by that time.
