You cannot reinstate a cancelled score so don't do that. accept the score higher than 710

Q:Is my score eligible to be reinstated?
A: Any valid GMAT exam taken on or after January 1, 2014 will be eligible for reinstatement. Going forward, cancelled scores can be reinstated up to 4 years and 11 months of the exam date. This time frame accounts for the 5 year life of a GMAT exam score, with a 1 month allowance for processing. Click here for more information.

Thanks for the information. Can you please tell me what happens if we cancel the score?

I mean does it reflect anywhere that this candidate had taken the exam and canceled his or her score?

I currently have a 710 GMAT with a Q=50, V=36.
I'm schedule to retake the test next month and I was wondering what scores I should cancel.

My current thought process:
Keep my score only if:
I get a 730
or if I get a balanced combo like: 720 (Q=49, V=39)

I have time to retake it again if I don't hit my goal this time. Does this make sense?
Worst case, could I cancel and reinstate it later?

Exactly, with their current policy, you can take the exam, see your score, and cancel your score without anyone knowing.
Only limits are the 14 day minimum, 5 times a year limit, and the lifetime 8 time limit
