I was scheduled to give my GMAT online exam yesterday. I logged in around 30 mins before the scheduled time through my office laptop and completed the check-in process smoothly. I finally came to the last screen where it said, my exam will start in 15 mins and I was shown that I was 18 in the queue. After almost 30 mins, my number came but to my surprise the proctor said that he was not able to receive my video feed and asked if its possible for me to switch to personal laptop. I said yes and by the time I was able to start my personal laptop and go back to website to start my exam again, I was not getting the option to launch the exam. It was giving me the status of 'pending'.
My personal laptop was unfortunately updating and took my almost 20 mins to login. It was past 30 mins scheduled time. Can someone let me know what can be done now? I was trying to register for another exam, it was telling me I have to wait for 16 days. Also, is it possible to get a refund for the earlier exam I was not able to give due to technical issue? I have sent an email to GMAT candidate services APAC yesterday but have not heard from them yet.

It is a bit of a black hole but you should be able to get a free retake since the issue was due to a technical problem.
GMAC is a bit of a black hole and it seems it takes a few days for them to straighten things out but they will usually send you a retake option or you have to call and nag them about it. You will likely have to wait for 16 days (their usual policy) unless they have gotten better about it.

rishabh.rvj, sorry to hear about your troubles. I too think that GMAC will eventually give you a free retake once it processes your issue. I suggest that you call GMAC to badger them regarding your problem. My understanding is that calling GMAC regarding exam related issues gives faster results than mailing. Please do let us know about any update/progress in your situation.
