Hi,
I took the new online GMAT yesterday and scored 750 (Q49, V42). I want to apply to H/S/W in 2024/25 or through the deferred admissions program (2+2 etc.) next year (still undecided). I come from a demographic known for high Quant scores (Indian).
Background:
I will complete my undergrad from an Ivy League next year (likely with a 4.0 GPA), double majoring in CS and Econ. I have an offer to work at one of MBB after that.
I spent around a month studying for the GMAT. Started off with a 710 in the diagnostic (official mock 1), studied selectively from
MGMAT's All the GMAT books, and scored 760,770,770,750, and 770 on the next 5 official mocks. I found the actual GMAT to be harder than the mocks.
I am not sure if I should retake the GMAT. I am worried that a 750 is at the lower end for people with MBB and Ivy League backgrounds, and might disadvantage me. Am I being too paranoid because of my higher scores in the mocks or is there merit in retaking it?
PS- I am new to posting here, so if this is posted in the wrong place, please let me know.
