Seeking some advice on my situation

Question

Context : 
-I'm aiming to submit 2-3 applications to my priority programs by the Round 1 deadline (approx. mid-September for most programs)
-Initial CAT score (with zero prep): 540 (39V, 25Q, 7IR)
-As you can see, verbal is clearly a strong point (89th percentile) whilst I am very week in quants.
-I'm now about one week into studying (utilizing Empower) and have taken two month leave of absence from work to really focus
-Upon review of the CAT, I did make some silly errors I believe can be quite easily rectified so I think my second CAT will likely be signiicantly higher with some prep and familiarity with the questions

So my questions are:
A) Given this context, do you think it's reasonable that I can achieve a 670+ by late July?
B) Assuming I'm successful in achieving A, is 1.5 months an adequate amount of time to complete the application process for 2-3 programs?

Hi SQ17 Answers: A) Late july gives you ample time but its easier said. since I have no idea about your current level of understand if Quant and Q-25 is EXTREMELY POOR so I would like you to be more cautious. The recovery in Quant is very quick so I am hoping that its possible B) Yes that's possible. First application consumed maximum time but others will be easier. A score of 540 is a bit shaky but you can achieve the target score of 650+ by late July.

We would like to recommend specific vital points which will be helpful. To improve, you will require consistent learning and practice. Also, keep motivation high to learn.

A couple of things that can be a noticeable barrier to your scores would be some or all of the below.

• Lack of basic math skills
• Not detailed knowledge of GMAT Math pattern and Question types
• Inefficiency by using time-consuming Conventional method to tackle DS and PS questions still
• No expert support (maybe) who can tutor, analyze, and guide you during your learning
• Lack of many updated questions and practice in the recent exam trend
• Not well aligned with time to solve questions.

Also, make a note of various possible combinations to achieve your target score. The possible scores will help you track your performance after taking the mock or practice test. It will also help you maintain balance in both the sections, and you will always be in a great position to allot the study hours to a specific area accordingly.

Solve as many questions as you can relate to different topics, and it is recommended that you try to connect with many proven experts. While concept learning, try solving 600 level questions by topic and be habitual of creating the error log. Prepare a list of all the doubts you face during solving and practicing questions. This practice will help you assess the topics in which you need more time to prepare. After solving as many questions as possible, take the 1st mock test and assess your performance. You should be able to improve at least 100 points and likely 150 points or possibly even more if you put in the effort you’re outlining.

By the way, I don’t think you need to leave work and study full-time. Your brain can only absorb so much and I would caution you about speed versus actual learning. You can read a lot of pages in eight hours but you can’t learn much more in eight hours that you can in 2 or potentially 3. So I would encourage you to pace yourself properly and make sure you’re comfortable with the topic before you move to the next one.

A 540 is a solid initial CAT Score (the average score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). Based on your V39, you clearly have strong overall Verbal skills, so assuming that you're going to be spending the bulk of your study time on the Quant section, you are going to find that it's actually a fairly straight-forward task to pick up the additional points that you're after (and to hit your Score Goal, you do NOT need to correctly answer ANY questions that you think are too hard or too weird).
