Should I accept or cancel my GMAT Score?

Question

I have a doubt pertaining to the GMAT exam. 
I am going to write my exam in about a month's time. If I get the required score or somewhere within 10-20 points of that required score, then would there be a problem with my accepting the score given that I wish to apply for intake of '24 and not before that and that this might be my final attempt?
I have always cancelled the score for all the previous attempts and I am hoping for a better score this time and planning to accept the score if there wouldn't be a problem. Unlike many applicants, I want to be done with the GMAT more than a year before I start applying.

The GMAC website doesn't explicitly mention anything that could hint me toward either of the choices.

The scores are valid for 5 years. It should work in '24. All the best.

It's not clear what you refer to when you ask if there would be a "problem" with accepting your Score. Your Official Score is valid for 5 years from the date that you take the Exam, so you would be able to use this score during the next several years of application cycles. In addition, most Schools do not care if you take the GMAT more than once, so having more than one Score on your record shouldn't be an issue. Can you go into any more detail about what exactly you are concerned about? If it's an issue of your overall application, then you might want to discuss your concerns with an Admissions Expert. You mentioned that you have cancelled your prior Official Scores. On what dates did you take your prior attempts and how did you score on each (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

If you are taking the test online, you don’t need to cancel scores. (You technically can’t)

Many students, like you, prefer to be done with the GMAT exam well before their application deadlines in order to be able to focus on applications process more effectively with ample time in hand.
