Hi @navyacherabuddiAlthough using a calculator may seem inconvenient, it can significantly simplify several tasks for you. The Data Insights section is primarily designed to evaluate your data analytics skills and your ability to derive possible conclusions from the data provided. In certain questions, you may need to carefully analyze the numbers presented in the Two-Part Analysis questions to determine the correct pair of values that best align with the question's context and in such questions, the use of a calculator can be great useful.

I recommend that you practice using the calculator with a mouse at home. While it may not be the ideal method, it's still better than not having access to a calculator at all.

Believe me, if you are proficient with numbers, you'll appreciate GMAC for introducing the Data Insights section as one of the segments crucial to your GMAT score.

In the exam, DI has an on-screen calculator - can we enter numbers using the keyboard or only use the mouse? What is the fastest/best way to use this calculator?

This is a useful discussion. From what I’ve seen, the GMAT DI calculator is not meant to be heavily relied on, especially since it only works with the mouse and can slow you down . In many cases, estimation and mental math are actually faster and more effective. I think the best strategy is to use the calculator only when precision is really needed. For practice, I sometimes use calculadora de alicia to understand calculations step by step, which helps improve both speed and accuracy over time.
