Hi all,
There are several reddit posts about how the OG is sufficient to prepare while there are contradicting views about the quality of questions in the OG when compared to the questions asked in the actual GMAT. I just wanted to understand which question bank will give me questions which are similar to the level of the questions asked in the actual exam.
Dear Nishma,
OG questions are retired official questions, meaning they were once presented to GMAT test takers in the past. They are the most reliable tool available to practice and get a feel of the actual exam.
Of all the official questions as released by GMAC, according to me, here's the hierarchy of the sources to be followed:
GMAT Prep (Focus) > Latest Official Guide > Old OGs.
Here, GMAT Prep (Focus) consists of all the Official Practice Qs, and Official Practice Exams 1-6 Qs. I'd advice you to try out the official starter kit on mba.com
Also, attempt GMAT Prep (Focus) Qs at your own risk, since repeats when you actually attempt a mock can inflate your scores.
Hope I could be of help!
