Powerscore GMAT Critical Reasoning Bible

Question

Hello Everyone,

I am looking forward to purchase Powerscore GMAT CR bible but unfortunately cannot find kindle version on Amazon and Paperback version will take longer to reach me.
Can someone advise if this book still a valuable resource for GMAT as there are no new editions post 2022.

Any details would be highly appreciated !!

Will it still be relevant for the GMAT Focus edition? I know majority of the core concepts would be same but maybe going for something which is more recent might be more helpful with relevant examples.

Hi  EasyLoop ,

I'd say it's still totally relevant, even though the last edition was published in 2022 - before the GMAT Focus Edition, except for the 1st chapter as an introduction to GMAT. You can simply substitute the content of Chapter 1 with information from the OG, regarding basic information on GMAT Focus. All the rest of of the chapters are still golden. In fact, GMAT CR has virtually not changed for the past 20 years, maybe even longer.

PowerScore CR Bible is one of the two best CR book options regularly recommended here on GMAT Club, along with Manhattan Prep's CR/Verbal guide. IMHO, PowerScore has a bit more depth and breadth in terms of the theory/strategy and question types covered, compared with Manhattan Prep's book. It will take a bit longer to finish this book, but will certainly provide you with comprehensive treatment for GMAT CR, if you are self-studying.

This version dates back to 2009. Even though since then the contents did not changed that much and many are still useful , it is too old. for the actual exam.

GMAT all the verbal in the printed edition is not so expensive and is a great investment for all the verbal side of the exam in one way to go
